During a speech at the New York Economic Club, Trump detailed his economic vision, which includes this commission tasked with auditing the federal government and recommending reforms aimed at saving trillions of dollars. He emphasized that the commission would be responsible for reviewing federal expenditures and improving operational efficiency.
Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has reportedly expressed his willingness to lead the commission, stating that he would do so without pay or title. This proposal is part of Trump’s broader economic strategy, which also includes cutting corporate taxes and reducing regulations. He further mentioned that every new government regulation would result in the elimination of ten existing ones.
