Union Home Minister Amit Shah has highlighted the stark political contest in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, framing it as a direct battle between the BJP and the Congress-National Conference alliance. At a rally in Kishtwar, Shah emphasized that the contest pits the BJP, which is committed to preserving Jammu and Kashmir’s integration with India, against the Gandhi and Abdullah families, who lead the Congress and National Conference, respectively.
Shah underscored the ideological divide between the two sides, with the Congress-NC alliance advocating for the restoration of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir before it was revoked by the Modi government in 2019. The BJP, in contrast, is focused on development and ensuring unity under “One Constitution, one flag, and one Prime Minister.
Shah urged voters to support BJP candidate Shugan Parihar, pointing out that a vote for the BJP is a vote for continued development and in honor of the sacrifices made by those who defended Jammu and Kashmir’s unity (News Arena India)(Devdiscourse).
