In a tragic accident in Anna, Texas, four Indian nationals lost their lives when a speeding truck rear-ended their SUV, causing it to burst into flames. The victims were identified as Aryan Raghunath Orampati, Farooq Shaik, Lokesh Palacharla, and Darshini Vasudevan. They had connected through a carpooling app and were traveling to Bentonville, Arkansas, when the collision occurred.
The SUV, engulfed in flames upon impact, trapped all occupants inside, leading to their deaths. The bodies were so severely burned that authorities are relying on DNA fingerprinting to confirm their identities. The accident involved a total of five vehicles, and the process of identification has been delayed due to a long holiday weekend in the United States, adding to the anguish of the families.
The victims hailed from different parts of India: Aryan and Farooq were from Hyderabad, while Lokesh was also from Telangana, and Darshini was from Tamil Nadu. Their families are now appealing for assistance from India’s External Affairs Ministry to expedite the process of bringing their loved ones back home ( India Today, PTC News )
