Netflix’s Do Patti is a mystery thriller that dives into domestic violence, emotional trauma, and unresolved grief. The film stars Kajol, Kriti Sanon, and Shaheer Sheikh in pivotal roles, with Kajol portraying a police officer, Kriti Sanon as the victim, and Sheikh playing a significant role alongside them. Directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, Do Patti aims to deliver a suspenseful narrative, yet it has received mixed reactions from audiences and critics alike.

On the positive side, the performances of the cast, particularly Kajol and Kriti, have been widely praised. Kajol brings depth and intensity to her role as a cop, although critics noted that her character could have been better developed, particularly in terms of background and motivations. Kriti Sanon, in her role as a woman fighting back against the forces of trauma, showcases one of her strongest performances to date, and her portrayal has been called both gripping and memorable. However, some viewers felt that Shaheer Sheikh also excelled in his part, adding nuance to his character’s arc, which is well-received among fans of his work.

However, the film Do Patti has several drawbacks. The storyline has been criticized for its lack of originality and a somewhat predictable climax. Some viewers also noted that, despite the strong performances, the plot occasionally feels incoherent, leading to a loss of emotional impact. The pacing reportedly lags at times, which detracts from the suspense, and some viewers expressed disappointment with the way certain key elements of the story are handled, including a few logic gaps that disrupt the film’s credibility.

The cinematography and soundtrack have been considered average by most reviewers, neither elevating nor detracting significantly from the experience. Still, the film’s primary appeal lies in its social message and the performances, which many consider to be a redeeming factor.

Overall, Do Patti is a mixed bag. While it effectively addresses themes of trauma and resilience and showcases powerful performances, the narrative structure and pacing hold it back from being a standout thriller. If you’re a fan of the lead actors or interested in stories centered around social issues, this film may be worth a watch. For others seeking a tightly crafted thriller, it may fall short of expectations.
